BIO
Heirloomofhiphop was born Solmon David Lee II to his parents, Solmon I and Patricia Lee. His affinity for music began with his mother singing to him in the womb and continued with this nurturing behavior after his birth. His mother was a member of the Florida A&M University Concert Choir, and she taught middle, high, and special program school for 30 years. His father served in the Army, was an accountant, and later, a minister. He spent countless hours listening to music from all time periods due to his parents’ love for a wide variety of genres. He became a musician himself and traveled with groups around the world in performance while in high school. In college he created and sold instrumental beats to survive and make ends meet. He also continued to perform and was a member of the Florida A&M University Concert Choir where he met his wife of 19 years. Heirloomofhiphop, is Solmon’s vision to resurrect Hip Hop to its once prominent stage to reign supreme in the music world. He first fell in love with Hip Hop as a child when he would constantly rap the song ‘Rapper’s Delight’ with his father. His favorite era of Hip Hop music is the 1990s. His all-time favorite artist is Tupac Shakur. His all-time favorite lyricist is Lil Wayne. He loves to listen to music with sampled works from the 1960s and 70s.
